“Make visible what, without you, might perhaps never have been seen.”
– Robert Bresson
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started out with a simple Brownie camera, taking pictures of friends on the playground and documenting family vacations. While raising three young sons, I decided to study the craft more seriously and took classes at the Edina Art Center, the University of Minnesota, and MCAD. Over time, the medium has become a deeper and more expressive part of my life.
My work includes landscapes, portraits, everyday scenes, and small moments that catch my attention. I’m drawn to nostalgia, quiet beauty, and the parts of life that feel honest and human. Many of my images have a soft or “dreamlike” quality, sometimes with intentional blur and a single point of focus. This is intentional, as the camera looks both ways, with a more interpretive, less literal result. Sometimes the ordinary can be rather extraordinary!
I live in Minneapolis with my husband and golden retriever.
I hope you enjoy my work.
